State Park Overview |
| Chester-Blandford State Forest offers picnicking and a spectacular view of Sanderson Brook Falls. Mica Mine Road and Gold Mine Brook, which run through the forest are reminders of the days when the hills of Chester were pitted with small mines producing mica, emery and corundum.
About a half-hours drive westward along route US 20, the highway tops the summit of Jacobs Ladder, a ridge 2,100 feet high, which affords a fine distant view of the Berkshire Valley and the surrounding hills. |
